'Everyone sees through it' - Jake Paul responds to John Fury and Tommy Fury calling for him to pay t

Jake Paul is not budging despite calls from the Furys to 'honour' their double or nothing bet.

Prior to Jake and Tommy's fight, which the Brit went on to win by split decision, the two fighters shook hands on a bet that would see the winner walk away with double the purse or nothing if he lost.

Paul had a contract written up, but footage on the Betr TikTok account of Tommy's dad and trainer, John, being questioned about the contract suggests it was never signed by Team Fury.

Despite this, John believes Jake should still pay up, saying in a video posted to his social media: “Jake Paul, moment of truth, again I say it. You lost the fight, we had a deal in front of millions of people worldwide, I expect you to honour that deal.

“You owe us some money.

“Don’t come back to us with contracts and all that bullc***. I’m a gypsy, I can’t read and write properly and I don’t understand that.

“We were over to do a job, we did it and I’m sure you’ll be a great guy and honour what you’ve done.”

Tommy echoed this sentiment, saying on Good Morning Britain: "At the end of the day, we were live on TV and we shook hands.

"We’re old-fashioned guys, so a handshake means everything to us, but let’s see if he honours it or not. A handshake is as good as a contract to us."

On Logan Paul's Impaulsive podcast, Jake's older brother said: “I’ve seen these videos of John Fury and Tommy Fury they’re like ‘pay up, Jake Paul’.

"Except I remember… John Fury was watching you [Jake] getting your hands wrapped and Brandon [cameraman] was f****** antagonising him and he goes ‘about that contract, why didn’t you guys sign it?’

“And John Fury just cowers into a little ball and goes ‘let’s talk about boxing, mate… I've just seen this dude, in real time, show his hand. They weren’t willing to actually sign the contract.

"And then, after the fight when they won, now they’re talking about being gypsies, how they can’t read and write, and expect you to pay up on something that they 1000 per cent wouldn’t have if you had won the fight.”

Jake couldn't have agreed more with his brother, replying: “Everyone sees through it and is calling them out on it, so much so that John Fury deleted the tweets.”

A rematch is expected between them in the summer.
