If you’re anything like us, you’ll probably spend far too much time on YouTube.
Whether we’re catching up on a new Louis Tomlinson interview, watching an Ariana Grande performance or reliving a hilarious scene from last week’s RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, we can’t seem to get enough of YouTube and its endless array of awesome, engaging content.
But when we’re on our way to the office on the underground or we’re spending a weekend away without WiFi, it can suck when you can no longer watch your favourite videos, or get through your Watch Next list. Luckily, there’s a solution – today, we’re going to show you how to download YouTube videos to your phone, laptop, or tablet to watch at a later date.

Once you’ve decided on a video you want to download, the next step is to copy the YouTube video URL (found in your browser bar) and then visit the YouTube download tool website.
When you’re there, paste the video link into the search box at the top of the page and press the Download button or the Enter key on your laptop, and the video will begin to process.
From there, the tool will search for the available downloads and display them for you to see, and you’ll be able to right-click on the download link and choose Save As to download the video to your laptop. If you’re on your phone, you’ll be able to open and play the video there and use the iOS or Android download system to save the video to your Files application.
